Tsoureki is a traditional Greek Easter bread shaped as a braided loaf. Nowadays, it has become so popular that you can find it in pastry shops and bakeries all year round.

The excellent ingredients used make all the difference. Fragrant cultured butter, fresh whole milk and free-range eggs are mixed in the dough along with special aromatic spices. Greek masticha, mahleb and cardamom, combined with Madagascan vanilla and organic orange zest create a unique flavour profile.

This pumpkin-shaped variation is a tribute to the squash season of Fall, as well as a nod to Halloween. It is filled with a spiced butternut squash ganache made with Belgian white chocolate and mascarpone and is mixed with roasted pecans.

Most people make tsoureki using dry yeast. Our tsoureki is naturally leavened with a special sourdough starter that delivers amazing flavour, structure, and prolonged shelf life. It takes 3 days for each loaf to be made, but it's really worth it!

The portioned dough then spends a night in the fridge for further flavour development until it's time to carefully braid each loaf. The loaves are left to proof for several hours until 2.5 times in size. Just before baking, we egg wash their surface for shine and sprinkle pumpkin seeds for a additional flavour and texture.

Both children and adults love tsoureki for its fluffy texture. It's a treat that can be enjoyed on its own or with your favourite hot brew.

Each pumpkin-shaped tsoureki weighs 850g before baking (780g for the braided one) and makes for 12 generous portions. It is shipped in a beautiful gift package. Available from September to April.
