Our signature smoked cheese & pepper phyllo pie surprises and delights everyone who tries it.
The carefully chosen ingredients create a flavour profile reminiscent of a pepperoni pizza but the filling is actually vegetarian.
It all starts with delicious sweet red peppers that are smoked by us, and then marinated for several days in cider vinegar with condiments.
Once ready, the peppers are mixed together with free-range eggs, crumbly feta and Metsovone (an amazing PDO smoked cheese).
This smoked cheese pie is made the traditional way with homemade filo sheets that are meticulously layered and then filled with the creamy goodness.
The phyllo is made with a flour blend that contains wholemeal organic flours and is fermented for at least 16 hours with our trusty sourdough starter, which makes it tastier and more digestible.
The pie weighs about 1.2 kilos before baking and it’s 28 cm/11" wide, which makes for 8 generous portions. Available all-year-round.
