Melomakarona, along with kourabiedes, are a rich delicary and the quintessential Christmas biscuits in Greece.
Building on my traditional version, I went two steps further, making them spherical and enrobing them with a rocher coating of Belgian dark chocolate and crushed walnuts.
Bite into one and feel the extra virgin olive oil, walnuts and polyflora honey from Greece come together with the organic orange zest, the brandy, and the chocolate. Then have another, and... another!
All biscuits are handmade and weighed to the decigram, to ensure uniform baking and shape. Available from November to March.
