This limited-edition Christmas tsoureki comes filled with creamy almond frangipane and our very own mincemeat, made with partially organic dried fruits (raisins, sultanas, currants), organic candied orange and lemon peel, warm spices and smooth brandy. It is topped with a special almond & hazelnut glaze.
The Melíanthos tsoureki is naturally leavened with a sweet sourdough starter which delivers amazing flavour, structure, and prolonged shelf life.
It takes 3 days for each tsoureki to be made, from the moment the starter is first fed to the moment this exquisite delicacy comes out of the oven.
Fragrant cultured butter, fresh whole milk and free-range eggs are mixed together in the dough along with unique spices. Greek masticha, mahleb and cardamom, along with Madagascan vanilla and zest from organic oranges create a unique taste profile that makes each tsoureki a truly festive delight.
Enjoy it on its own, with your tea or coffee, not to mention a hot chocolate!
Each tsoureki weighs 800g before baking and makes for 12 generous portions. It is shipped in a beautiful gift package. Available around Christmas (December - January).
