Melomakarona are a delectable pleasure and the quintessential Christmas biscuits in Greece.
Traditionally made with extra virgin olive oil and honey, our version of melomakarona also includes organic cold-pressed sunflower oil, which balances their taste profile. This vegan variation replaces honey for Grade A Canadian pure maple syrup, which tastes wonderful and also provides important nutrients.
Flavoured with organic orange zest & juice, smooth brandy, drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with crushed walnuts, one bite is enough for the crispy exterior to give away to the soft, syrupy core. Best enjoyed with your eyes closed!
All biscuits are handmade and weighed to the decigram, to ensure uniform baking and shape. Available from October to March.
